Information Technology is increasing rapidly. Modern inventions are popularized all over the world. Some of these inventions are very useful and some are just used for recreation, to entertain their selves without knowing the disadvantages and advantages of it. Information Technology is very useful to us. Especially, it helps us communicate with other people. But, It also has disadvantages. Well, I think everything has.
Information Technology has a lot of functions and purposes in our daily lives. Data are processed, transmitted, stored, represented, informations are distributed worldwide. Information Technology has a very big role in the industry. Particularly, in Education and in Business. In Education, with the use of online libraries and dictionaries, by researching, Students as well as the Teachers and other people can gather much informations which could make it easier for them to understand. Information Technology is related to education and it helps in developing the intelligence of an individual. It will widen their thinking abilities, analysis and understanding. Well, we can’t deny the fact that people usually depends on technologies nowadays. People use it to make their work easier. Especially students, rely on this in making their assignments and projects. In Business, Information Technology has also a very big contribution. Through Information Technology, Business companies can communicate with their costumers, sometimes through online services.
Information Technology (IT) is just like a bundle of all these things:
The water piping system; the electrical lining system; the bicycle; roads and highways; the library; the printing press; the telephone; the airplane; and many more. A career in IT is not a dead-end job; it’s a continuous learning and innovating of a lot of things.
First, is the water-piping system. A water-piping system is used to transport water, in which water can travel, and also, it carries pressurized and treated fresh water. Information Technology is quite similar to this because with the use of technology, information can travel. The water in the water-piping system can pass through, and it flows to where it must be put. In Information Technology, informations flow.
Second, is the electrical lining system. In this system, current or electric is carried. Information Technology is also similar to this system. In IT, informations are carried. The process has a similarity to this system and also the water-piping system yet the only difference is that in IT, informations are processed and transported.
Next is the bicycle. A bicycle is a thing made by human which is very useful to humankind. By using a bicycle, people can commute. People use it for transportation. It allows people to travel into the other places they want to go to. Also with help of this, it would not take us much time and energy. Bicycle has many uses such as utility, work and recreation and many more. Information Technology (IT) is similar to a bicycle. Why? Through technology, information can also be travelled. I mean, informations can be spread. And with the use of these informations and the additional facts we got from these informations, we can apply it in our work, in our daily lives. It would help us be aware of the new informations that would be very helpful to us. By using a bicycle, the person using it should also have a complete balance or connection with the bicycle so that you would not fall. In IT, you should also have a great connection with it. What I mean is that, you should be very open-minded and understanding in all the things you learn from the informations you got and apply it in your daily life in a good way.
Information Technology is similar to roads and highways. Roads and highways are very important to us. It is a course in which it guides us. And also, with the use of these courses, we can travel to other places and can communicate with other people we pass by the road and to that particular place you want to go. In IT, information guides us also. It is important to us because we can discover new things from it which it gives us guidance about new important informations connected to our life. And also by communicating, we can also get some important facts that we need to know for us to be aware. Information gives us directions in life. It guides us. Just like the Roads & highways, it directs to the place we want to go and by travelling, we can also discover new things from the things we see around as we pass by it.
The library is similar to Information Technology. Why do I say so? Well, we all know that library is a place where books are gathered and kept. Not only books, but also, magazines and other reference materials. We can gather or acquire additional knowledge and can discover new things. In IT, we can learn new things through technology. We can gather much informations in which we can apply in our daily lives. Through these informations, it would be much easier for us to work things in which we can easily finish our works at the same time, gaining new things from it. And just by a click, we're able to know those very important facts and also, all new informations about that particular thing you want to know are written on that article.
Next is the printing press. A printing press is a device which is very useful to us. Printing press produces books. And these books will help us learn more things and new discoveries. A book is an important reference to us. But today, with the rapid spreading of IT, books are not usually used nowadays. In IT, informations are processed. The informations are printed on a screen. Printing press is an important thing towards the spreading of informations through printing a page of a book, and bookbinding it. Well, in IT, informations are distributed worldwide. Some may use computer as their references because it contains much informations.
I could say that Information Technology is like a telephone. With the use of technology, we can communicate with other people who are a million-mile away from us. Information Technology (IT), by means of technology, is a way of communication. It is what you can use to say “I miss You”, “How are you?” to those special people who makes your life very meaningful. The only difference between IT and telephone is that, in telephone, you can only hear the voice of that person you are talking to while in IT, with the use of networking sites, and software installed on your computer, you can not just only hear their voice but you can also see them through video calls over the Internet.
Last is the airplane. An airplane, is an aircraft in which it lifts and with the wing of an airplane, it moves through the air. It travels all over the world. It is used by people to travel to the other countries. Information Technology is similar to this because just like an airplane, informations travel too. I mean, informations are just like airplane. Informations are distributed worldwide. Informations are carried out by people and then shares it.
IT is not a dead-end job; it’s a continuous learning and innovating of a lot of things. Information Technology offers a lot of job careers. As what I’ve observed, technologies are really of a great help such as in business. It is used in big companies. If you’re a computer literate, bigger jobs will be offered to you. Greater opportunities will be grabbed! But of course, you should have the skills and knowledge. But, Information Technology, Computer Science and Computer Engineers, and other courses related to Computer graduates are the ones who are very suitable in this job because they acquire better ideas about computer. They contain much knowledge than other people. Information Technology is a continuous learning and innovating of a lot of things. Time to time, technology improves. Well, even though you are a computer literate, how great you are with it.. there are still a lot of things you need to be discovered. As you go by, better techniques will be discovered, your knowledge about computers will widen as you discover new things. Better ideas will be revealed.
